Poster hangers are extremely easy to setup. Just use top hooks to hang on octonorm panel. Bottom bar keeps pulling the graphic down and thus keeps it straight.

We have created these prints on matte finish satin media which doesn’t require any lamination thus preventing usual curling of the printed media.

Vendor vetting three things to consider

While buying anything or everything , what do we look for ?

Usually first thing is price, cheapest generally is the rule. While buying a branded product it’s okay to be looking fir cheapest as quality and other services are tied to the brand and not to the vendor. But even there at times, some warranties or services may have been curtailed so that the vendor can sell cheap.

It means we should always be, vigilante not only about price but also know what all forms part of that price or what has been excluded to make product more affordable.

The scenario changes when you are buying from vendor selling unbranded products. If I was you, I would look at at least three parameters before even considering buying from the vendor.

  1. Is he genuine importer or bulk buyer or manufacturer ? If they are none of these, how are they able to sell at gravity defying prices?

  2. Is servicing part of sales? And what kind of advice they offer in product choice ? Are they keen to sell only what they wish or what you ask for ? Or they also enlighten you and make you aware of other similar products they are selling , which may be more suitable to your needs ?

  3. What in-house services they can give or are they getting everything outsourced ? Like prints which form an part of most display systems, is the vendor capable of providing superior quality printing ?

Are You Cost conscious ? 

In my 40 plus years as a businessmen selling products and services to EVENTS industry, I have met three types of  customers.

  1. Customers who take quotation from all and sundry but their mind is made up up to buy from a company which is expensive and may be with some kind of recognised name. They are not willing to take risk with companies who could give better price and may be better service as well. Generally these people fall in officers category and it’s not their money being spent it is company money and to save their skin from unknown they would splurge and may be swayed by many external factors thrown in by bigger moneybag company.

They refuse to look at quality offered by others and I feel they are incompetent sloths. They ask stupid questions and mostly parrot whatever brainwashing has been carried on them.

  1. People who are just looking for cheapest, they are not interested in quality. May be because they care more for money or may be because they are incapable of judging quality and hate going into technicalities of the product.

They keep looking around and either get confused by pricing or get tired and settle fir the cheapest. Only later on to realize they have been conned by pricing only and never ask for if the product may be serviced or will supplier help them with new graphics. Or is there any kind of support or warranty.

  1. This class is informed type they look around and also look at price to quality benefit, they listen to you and let you explain the difference in price both sides of your pricing. They are usually worried about cost over runs yet, they look for something that is worth the money they are spending.

Don’t get taken for extra ride by salesmen promising moon. Many things do not require warranty or may be it’s not possible to give as may be product sold has no back warranty or parts are not available. At times simply it’s just not worth repairing product as it may be so cheap that it’s waste of time and efforts.

In short there is always a tug of war in decision making between quality and pricing. I go by ancient wisdom of not buying most expensive as it may be overpriced or lowest prices as quality may be compromised but I prefer middle level suppliers, who are conscious of their image and committed to quality.

Supplier is important cog in any business model.

Supplier is a necessary evil ? Or a friend ?

Depends on how you look at glass, half filled or half empty.

Without a supplier and his timely supply, any service provider or trader is bound to suffer.

Treat your supplier as a friend not evil, just like you he too is there to make some money.

Atharva veda , one of four scriptures of Vedic or  as is now known Hindu religioous thought says all worldly deeds are driven by a dynamo and that dynamo is nothing but money or Goddess Lakshmi. 

Humans are basically social and society needs grease called money to keep it’s wheels turning. It motivates humans to excel and try and innovate.

When doing aptitude class almost four decades back, one point was brought to notice of the class. Point was pre independence, most Indians strived and opted for law coursws, as medicine and teaching was considered a novel profession and one was discouraged from making undue profits from these professions.

But after independence, perceptions slowly started changing and materialism set in and Indians , wanted to be doctors as money could be made there.

Point here is unless your supplier makes some money, he won’t survive and your supply chain would suffer.

Besides there would be no motivation to innovate or improvise.

Hope you would treat supplier as a friend and not somebody who should be milked dry.

Magnetic pop-up is one of the most convenient Portable exhibition kit to carry and reuse over and over again.
Magnetic pop up is a collapsible frame which comes in basic three shapes straight, concave curve and convex curved.
Also length and height of a Magnetic Pop up may vary as per client requirement.Usual size is known as section height and section width.section width up to 4 converts in meters or close to it therefore many people feel section width is equal to a meter but usually it is between 70cm to 83cm depending on manufacturer as also on the shape of the Magnetic pop up. Total height usually is around 230cm or near it.
Besides all this it also comes as different systems though basic collapsible structure and use of magnets to attach graphics to the stand remains a perquisite.
Variance may be noticed in locking systems as some have pull up and stand system using springs,metal hook locks or plastic male female locking systems.
Front meg-bars that hold the system also vary as most system use MS rods and others may use aluminum with magnets.
Portable Exhibition Kit is supplied in three ways viz a shoulder bag, Air trolley or in a Deluxe PVC molded trolley which may double up as a Carry case cum podium with graphic attached to it.

 

Designing a magnetic pop up is usually very challenging for first timer designers.Many times they just give design suitable for solvent flex printing but Magnetic pop ups is always using inkjet technology.Printing is done on high-end photo realistic printers on self adhesive vinyls which are later mounted on .3-.4 thick rigid PVC and then scored or matched.

Reason is that its size is close to hoarding size, but viewing distance at most times is a close distance of around 6′ or so.
Most people forget that pop up’s primary aim is to catch eyeball of people visiting trade show & exhibitions.
Not just that but once they enter the exhibitors booth, it should give information about the exhibitor’s establishment and products or services offered along with pictures.

Usually the top it used half establishment name on top with tag lines or punch line and its LOGO as that is most prominent area besides central part.In between body is the most important element. Never try to cram it up with too many pictures or too much text. When choosing to fill space always be more partial to pictures and not text.

Bottom generally being less visible has addresses, URL , email Id, phone nos. Etc.
At times just one very large picture will become very effective in attracting attention and making visitor enter the exhibition booth area.
But most times use pictures judiciously.Too much text is a waste as nobody has time to stand and keep reading just high light important information and don’t use this as a brochure, most information shall be used inside a leaflet or brochure which a visitor can than read leisurely later on at office or home.

Another pitfall area is the end caps many designers ignore tha fact that it curves in U shape and major part is usually invisible to the visitor on both ends. So simply avoid spilling text on end caps. Most designers use this area to give out website or just keep it plain colour to add beauty and make pop ups look much more solid and attractive.
